Dashed coin-swimming dreams

You know in DuckTales when the characters swim through a vast collection of coins? And then you realize the weight and shape of most coin-based currency would not permit such a thing? And it’s all very sad.

You may wonder, “Should I continue amassing wealth?” or, “Why did I even attend a four-year university?” But don’t fret, there are plenty of things you can do with massive containers of metallic disks!

You can put them in unattended retail machines and receive candies and soda pops in return. Or give them to people playing instruments. You can even trade them for increments of time to put your vehicle somewhere. You never know where you may need to put your vehicle!

So before you go questioning your very existence because Disney’s DuckTales sold you a failed dream of coin swimming, remember: It makes sense we continue printing and distributing coinage. It just makes sense.
